The Moravia Central School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle School Art Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in various art forms and a commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic expression among students. This role involves instructing middle school students in drawing, painting, art history, and digital art. Additionally, the position includes teaching select elective courses at the high school level, such as Photography, Sculpture, Computer Graphics, and Digital Arts. Strong collaboration skills with fellow educators to cultivate a stimulating and supportive learning environment are essential.Responsibilities: Develop and implement an engaging art curriculum aligned with NYS standards for middle school students with varying artistic abilities. Teach drawing, painting, art history, and digital art in a patient and caring manner. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and growth. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art with other subjects and school-wide projects. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Organize and participate in school art shows, exhibitions, and related events.
