The Mount Pleasant Central School District in Thornwood, New York is seeking a part time Health Aide for Westlake Middle School/Westlake High School. Position is 10-2 Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include: Observes & monitors medically fragile students in the hallway, classroom, lunch and recess & reports back to the nurse with any concerns.Renders basic first aid treatment to students and staff. Assists students with personal care & hygiene. Measures and records temperature when needed.Assists school nurse in preparing & distributing educational materials for students, staff & parents (i.e., health & wellness information)Follows established school procedures for care & reporting of injuries and illness. Consults with nurse regarding unusual or difficult problems.Reviews and inputs student records to obtain selected health information for use by school nurse (i.e., immunization records)Selects, files, monitors and records health information on student and staff records.Oversees sign-in logs for daily visits.Completion of a standard first aid course is required.If interested, submit cover letter and resume by Friday, February 3, 2023.
