The Monroe-Woodbury Central School District is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve in a dual role as a CSE Chairperson and School Psychologist at the elementary level. This position requires strong expertise in both special education processes and psychological assessment, as well as the ability to manage complex cases with clarity, efficiency, and professionalism. Must be available to work additional days during the summer. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS School Psychologist Certification Must meet NYSED fingerprinting requirements CHARACTERISTICS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: At least three to five years of successful work experience in school district setting, chairing CSE/ 504 meetings Thorough understanding of CSE/504 guidelines and regulations as related to Special Education program and services Extensive knowledge of psychological and educational testing Ability to problem solve and work effectively with families and various agencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written and digital) Candidate will lead meetings, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and facilitate collaborative, student-centered decision-making As School Psychologist, the candidate will conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret data, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to support student learning and behavior Knowledge of special education law and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate challenging conversations with families and staff The role requires strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining a focus on student outcomes.
