Duties: Academic Integration Social Studies Specialist will work collaboratively with Career and Technical Education instructors to plan, deliver and assess student learning activities in relation to Social Studies. Specialist will ensure that all NYS approved CTE curriculum integrates contextualized academic content that meets the NYSED standards in Social Studies. Candidate must be flexible, creative and willing to teach and/or co-teach, assist CTE instructional staff with differentiation of instruction, collaborate in assessing student work, be open to providing CTE staff with professional development on creative social studies integration, and meet consistently with CTE instructors to plan the integration of Social Studies into lessons.Qualifications: New York State Education Department certification or eligible for certification in Social Studies 9-12.Location of Position: Rossetti Education Center, Madison Oneida BOCESTerm of the Employment: 10-month positionSalary: Contingent upon experience and education according to Teacher’s Contract.
