Duties: Provides instruction to secondary students enrolled in the Large Animal and Livestock Science program. The Teacher will provide instruction to students in a classroom setting housed at VVS High School, and will also provide hands on lab activities at an area farm. The Teacher will be responsible for creation of two-year curriculum, units, lessons, and assignments in partnership with business, industry and district stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong background/experience with large animals, livestock, dairy management, and agriculture. Instructor must have a passion for creating a student centered, project based learning environment.Qualifications: Work experience in field and/or NYS CTE teacher certification in area.Location of Position: VVS High SchoolTerm of Employment: 10-month position –part time; afternoons from 11:15am-2:15pmSalary: Contingent upon experience and education according to Teachers’ Contract.Starting Date: 2023-2024 School Year
