The Mineola UFSD is seeking a Middle School Assistant Principal (Grades 5-7) that will be responsible for providing leadership and support for the existing instructional, curricular, intervention, behavioral, and support systems in place . Responsibilities may include supervision of school staff regarding instruction, curriculum and programs for English Language Learners. Experience in Student Management, Assessment & Technology. The Assistant Principal will be responsible for: Discipline procedures and student management across the building Coordinate New York State and other testing Organize field trips and other extra-curricular activities to support district wide programming Manage technology, apps and other data Oversee programming, communication and appropriate testing for ELLs Providing instructional coaching for teachers Curriculum leadership and professional development Demonstrate a commitment to developing a strong, innovative and engaging instructional learning environment for all learners Leadership skills that motivate others to sustain high levels of performance Collaborate with administrators to ensure programs are robust, supportive and future thinking Ability to establish a positive rapport with students and is dedicated to their social-emotional, physical and academic growth Ability to lead, supervise, and evaluate staff Assist in managing all facets of the daily operations of a school building Possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others in multiple settings Proven ability to build strong relationships with all members of the school community Familiarity with all NYS Standards Conducting observations using Danielson Framework Effective: July 1, 2026 Certification: NYS (SAS, SDA, SBL, SDL) Certification Salary: Per AMSA Contract Please apply on OLAS and email a letter of interest, resume and copy of certification by June 18, 2026, to Margarita Maravel, Director of Personnel at mmaravel@mineola.k12.ny.us with “MS Assistant Principal” in the subject line.
