Anticipated Social Studies/Special Education Teacher - Mineola High SchoolThe Mineola School district is seeking a passionate, highly motivated, insightful, and student centered Social Studies/SPED teacher to join our team. The successful candidate must possess:Possess outstanding communication skills. Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with all members of the school community.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and school-wide learning objectives.Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment that encourages participation from all students.Experience using instructional technology to enhance the learning experience.Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including Socratic seminars, project-based learning, and primary source analysis, to cater to diverse learning styles.Design meaningful formative and summative assessments; provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth.Actively participate in department meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.Expertise in differentiated instruction to reach all students.Successful teaching experience preferred.NYS certification in Social Studies (Grades 7-12) required.NYS certification in Students with Disabilities (All Grades) required.NYS certification in TESOL preferred.Effective: August 31, 2026Certification: Above position requires appropriate NY State CertificationSalary: as per MTA Contract Please apply to www.olasjobs.org by March 13, 2026
