Position: Supervisor of Fine & Performing ArtsResponsibilities for the successful candidate will include:Curriculum leadership and professional development in art, drama, and musicSupervision and evaluation of department teachersOversee extra-curricular activities in the artsOrganize various small and large-scale events (concerts, recitals, art shows, marching band competitions, dramatic performances, etc.Work closely with Mineola Music and Arts Parents AssociationDevelop a large community presence for this unique arts programEngage with professional organizations for the ultimate benefit of providing student opportunities at the local, state, regional, and national levelsPlan and execute various travel experiences (Marching Band and Winter Guard competitions, honor ensemble participation, overnight trips)Supervise Summer Arts ProgramBudgetary and inventory oversight for all department programs, equipment, and BOCES Arts-In-Ed programs.Interface with villages and civic organizations for opportunities for student engagementContinue to improve of student experience in the artsEnsure all department activities align with the Mineola School District Mission Statement Start Date: A.S.A.P.
