The Malverne School District is seeking an outstanding leader for the position of Elementary School Principal, grades K-2, effective, July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will lead a talented and diverse student body of over 400, along with the exceptional faculty and staff providing the very best educational experiences. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as an effective educator with administrative experience preferred; Knowledge of educational practices and curriculum; Possess positive communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster positive; relationships, and the capacity to effectively communicate a clear vision; Excellent leadership skills; New York State Certification – SDL and/or SBL. Performance Responsibilities: Serve as the instructional leader of the school, fostering high levels of student achievement and continuous improvement; Supervise, support, and evaluate instructional and support staff to promote professional growth; Lead the implementation of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention programs aligned with district goals and student needs; Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all learners; Utilize student performance data to inform decision-making and drive school improvement efforts; Ensure a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for students and staff; Manage daily operations of the school, including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and facility oversight; Collaborate with district administrators, teachers, support staff, and families to advance school and district initiatives; Promote meaningful family and community engagement through effective communication; Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and contractual obligations; Lead and support professional learning opportunities that strengthen instructional practices and student outcomes; Participate in district leadership teams and contribute to strategic planning and organizational improvement efforts; Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
