POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic III – Locksmith LOCATION: District Wide START: As soon as possible SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm SALARY: As per Operations Contract TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES : Skilled in key cutting, rekeying locks, repairing and replacing door locks and hardware. Performs daily computerized checks on the electronic door lock system, activities and deactivates electronic proximity keycards and assigns rights as prescribed by administrators. Maintains records on keys given to district employees. Plans and lays out projects which include estimating time and material costs. Determines type and amount of material to be used and orders material Determines method to complete work Thorough knowledge of tools required to perform ADDITONAL JOB DUTIES: Repairs window balances and associated components Installs doors Assists in carpentry work as needed Assists in reskinning laminate doors as needed Assists in plumbing work as needed Assists in electrical work as needed Assist in masonry work as needed Read blueprints, read and draw schematics
