Position: Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services The Miller Place Union Free School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services. The Assistant Director will support the Director in overseeing the district’s special education programs and pupil personnel services, ensuring compliance with NYSED regulations and federal mandates. Responsibilities include chairing and facilitating CSE/CPSE and Section 504 meetings, overseeing special education programming and services, supporting special education staff, collaborating with building administrators, and working with families to support students with disabilities. Minimum Qualifications: New York State School District Leader (SDL) Certification New York State Special Education Certification (Students with Disabilities) Minimum of five (5) years classroom teaching experience Preferred Qualifications: Administrative experience at the building or district level Experience chairing CSE/CPSE meetings and managing special education compliance TESOL Certification or experience working with English Language Learners Start Date: July 1, 2026 Salary: Commensurate with Experience
