EFFECTIVE DATE OF ASSIGNMENT: Upon Board approval.LOCATION: High SchoolSTARTING SALARY: $54,600.00 - $90,000.00 DOE + Competitive salary/benefit package REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• A valid New York State Teaching Certificate (or pending) in School Psychologist.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION (including, but not limited to): • Build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the broader school community.• Make decisions in the best interests of students.• Be professional (defined as a guaranteed level of competence), trustworthy, compassionate, and respectful.• Work with school community and outside agencies to provide support to students and families.• Offer mentoring and suggestions for faculty and staff including strategies and interventions for struggling students.• Develop programs and activities for student’s social, emotional, academic, and behavioral progress and safety including intervention and support strategies.• Plan and provide high quality counseling and support services to all students with focus on IEPs and at-risk students.• Collaborate with the school's leadership team and other committees to support all students in achieving high standards.MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED:• Completed instructional application including a Letter of Interest (Cover Letter) and Resume• A photocopy of your New York State Certification (or status if pending)• Credentials File or three (3) letters of recommendation• College transcripts (copies of all your undergraduate and / or graduate)APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until filled
