Join Our Supportive and Collaborative Elementary School Team! We are seeking a passionate, patient, and creative Elementary Reading Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you won't just teach kids how to decode words—you will help them unlock new worlds. You will work closely with small groups and individual students to build foundational literacy skills, close achievement gaps, and foster a lifelong love for reading. Key Responsibilities Targeted Intervention: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based reading intervention to individuals and small groups of students who need extra literacy support. Data-Driven Instruction: Assess student progress regularly using both formal and informal diagnostic tools to track growth and adjust teaching strategies. Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers, speech pathologists, and special education staff to align interventions with core classroom instruction. Family Partnership: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing them with practical, easy-to-use strategies to support reading at home. Environment: Create a safe, encouraging, and print-rich learning environment where students feel confident taking risks. Qualifications & Skills Certification: Valid State Teaching Certification in Reading or Literacy (Birth-6). Expertise: Strong understanding of the Science of Reading (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension). Mindset: A warm, empathetic approach to teaching; patience with struggling learners; and a collaborative spirit.
