Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans tailored to early childhood development. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters social-emotional and academic growth. Assess student progress through age-appropriate methods and use data to guide instruction. Maintain effective, warm communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and milestones. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience. Implement effective, positive classroom management strategies tailored to kindergarten-aged children. Supervise students during various school activities, transitions, and recess. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance. Adhere to all school and district policies and procedures. Qualifications Required: New York State Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2). Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates holding dual certification (e.g., Early Childhood and Students with Disabilities, or Literacy). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and early-childhood classroom management skills. Ability to adapt, show patience, and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic educational setting. Appointment Details & Salary Position Type: 10-month, 4-year probationary track appointment. Salary Range: $46,474 – $53,360 (commensurate with experience). Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package.
