Join Our Supportive and Collaborative Jr-Sr High School Team! We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated Jr-Sr High School team. Responsibilities: Provide instructional support to individual students or small groups under the direct supervision of classroom teachers. Assist in the implementation of accommodations, modifications, and specialized instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages adolescent student growth. Collaborate closely with teachers, guidance counselors, and support staff to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience. Implement effective classroom and behavior management strategies in alignment with school policies. Supervise students during various school activities, transitions, and designated periods. Maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement as requested. Adhere to all school and district policies and procedures. Qualifications: New York State Certification: Teaching Assistant Level I, II, or III. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behavior management skills suitable for a secondary school setting. Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic educational environment. Strong collaborative spirit and a positive attitude toward working with teenagers. Appointment Details: 10-month position Comprehensive benefits package per contract (MCSRPA).
