The Middleburgh Central School District is seeking a Jr.-Sr High School Counselor who wants to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing school environment for all. Applicants with NYSED Certification are encouraged to apply. A salary range of $46,474 - $53,360 will be offered based on experience and education. We offer a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, probationary appointment effective July 1, 2026. Middleburgh is located 8 miles off from the I-88 Cobleskill exit with an easy 30-45 minute commute from most locations in the immediate Capital District. Our student body is respectful, and our teaching staff is well supported by our families and community. If interested, please submit all materials on OLAS. 10-month position + additional 20 days in summer (paid in addition to the base salary). Providing comprehensive counseling services to Jr.-Sr High School students (grades 7-12). Developing and implementing a data-driven school counseling program. Assisting students with academic planning, career development, and college readiness. Providing individual and group counseling for social and emotional development. Provide IEP-mandated counseling services. Progress monitoring responsibilities. Participating in crisis interventions and training as needed. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of staff to support student needs. Participating in CPSE/CSE meetings as required. Participating in the scheduling process. Serve as liaison with community and state service agencies: Provide community resources to parents/guardians as needed. Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families. Any other duties assigned by the building administrators.
