The Middle Country Central School District has an anticipated opening for a secondary guidance counselor for the 2025 - 2026 school year.Qualified candidates must be New York State School Counselor certified.Some job responsibilities will include:Create a 4 year graduation pathway and post-secondary plan for assigned caseloadProvide counseling to students for Academic, College & Career and Social Emotional IssuesConduct classroom lessons in College and Career Presentations, Course Offering, and othersProvide IEP/504 mandated group and individual counseling for studentsHelp students in conflict resolution and goal settingAssist with college applications, trade school, resume, jobs, BOCES and/or scholarshipsProvide resources for students and parents for outside counseling for mental health or substance abuse problemsServe on Committee for Special Education and Section 504 for students assigned to their caseload for school counseling functionsPlease attach a job-specific cover letter and apply through OLAS.
