LOCATION: Hommocks Middle School HOURS: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week RESPONSIBILITIES – Special Education Aide Support of students with special needs as per their IEP Collaboration with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s success Monitor the health and well-being of students Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration Willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training Data collection and implementation of behavior plans Assist classroom teacher as needed Other duties as assigned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with younger aged children Experience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.
