Conduct ongoing student learning, progress assessments, and modify instructional methods to fit individual students' needs. Communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth.Utilize relevant technology and instructional materials to support and differentiate instruction.Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues.Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.Encourage family involvement in students’ education and ensure effective communication with students and families. Promote a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming, and affirming for all students.Work in a collaborative teaching environment, including co-teaching and interdisciplinary planning.Communicate effectively orally and in writing. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge of the NYS elementary learning standards Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomesKnowledge of the RTI process and ability to effectively communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents/guardians regarding student progress and areas for growth Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining FrameworksIn-depth knowledge of social-emotional learning approaches and experience in implementing SEL to cultivate a classroom that is affirming and welcomingAbility to engage in self-reflection concerning performance and professional growth; actively seek professional learning opportunities Possession of appropriate New York State Teacher CertificationREPORTS TO: Building Principal Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
