MAMARONECK UFSD OFFICE OF PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATION ANTICIPATED VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF MAMARONECK AVE SCHOOL - Probationary POSITION AVAILABLE: July 1, 2025 The Mamaroneck Union Free School District seeks collaborative, equity-minded employees who commit to develop knowledge, skills, and practices to create culturally responsive learning and working environments. POSITION OBJECTIVE: To plan and implement the educational program through the application of leadership, supervisory, and management skills to ensure each student’s academic and social-emotional growth. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and support teachers in the development and implementation of an experiential, collaborative, innovative, and technology-rich approach to curriculum, instruction, and assessment Promote programming that values the learner as both an individual and a member of a global community through interdisciplinary themes, inquiry based learning, and real world application of content and skills Determine, plan and implement professional development, including course development (where applicable), assessments for learning, differentiated instruction, and equitable student accessIn collaboration with administrators, supervise and evaluate teachers on a regular basis in accordance with the District’s Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) PlanOversee safety/emergency procedures that ensure the well-being of all members of the school communityDevelop and coordinate an approach to student discipline consistent with the District Code of ConductCollaborate with other administrators in the recruiting, hiring, training and placement of the school’s certified and classified personnelRemain current in the profession through professional reading and other professional development activitiesCultivate a comprehensive program that fosters meaningful parent communication and engagement, with a particular emphasis on inclusivity for the school’s substantial Spanish-speaking community.Collaborate with the central office administrative personnel in the following areas: Curriculum & Instruction, Human Resources, Business/Operations and Student Support ServicesSupervise the maintenance of accurate records on student progress and attendanceCoordinate procedures for student scheduling, orientation, transition and gradingInspire and nurture the personal and professional growth of each member of the school communityEnsure adherence to all Board of Education policies and administrative proceduresDemonstrate a strong understanding of the RTI (Response to Intervention) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) frameworksPossess knowledge and application of various Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) theories and practicesDemonstrate strong organizational skills related to school safety procedures and daily operations POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: NYS SAS/SDA/SBL Certification Minimum of five years teaching experienceStrong command of New York State Learning Standards K - 5Experience designing and implementing professional development opportunities Demonstrated knowledge of effective principles of teaching and learningVersed in the standards for teaching and learning and leading in the digital age Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Frameworks Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomes Capable of implementing rigorous instructional strategies that set high expectations for teachers and all children including students with disabilities and English Language Learners APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 9, 2025 COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Association of School Administrators ($125,079 - $174,546).
