Certification in Special Education or School Psychology Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred Salary: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teachers’ Association. Responsibilities/Skills include, but are not limited to:Professional, patient, and calm demeanorHighly knowledgeable of multi-tiered systems of support in the area of behaviorAbility to conduct Functional Behavior AssessmentsDevelop and oversee the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans Utilize creativity and ingenuity in establishing individual, as well as class and school-wide plans that promote positive student behaviorCollection and analysis of progress monitoring dataLead consultation and training sessions with classroom and building teamsComplete classroom observations and consultations across the district to support the various behavioral needs of general education students and special education studentsClear and consistent communication with teachers, administration, parentsRespond to crisis and support the safety and de-escalation of studentsParticipate in regular meetings with district and building administrationComplete necessary paperwork for and participate in CSE meetingsAn understanding and ability to employ crisis intervention and prevention techniques/strategies Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
