RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct assistive technology consults and assessments.Provide support for teachers, students, and parents in the use of assistive technology.Participation in CSE and 504 meetings.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The qualified candidate will be able to: Provide technical support for Student Support ServicesProvide professional development and training in the selection, assessment, and use of assistive technology. Maintain and develop the library of assistive technology resources, including subscriptions to online resources. Maintain and track inventory of assistive technology devices.Configure devices (e.g., iPads) via a management system.Work with IT and general education administrators to support RTI efforts.Make decisions in the purchasing of assistive technology devices and resources. Administer and support teachers in conducting the New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA).REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
