ATHLETIC TRAINER MAHOPAC HIGH SCHOOL Mahopac Central School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes at Mahopac High School. This role is essential in preventing, evaluating, and treating athletic injuries while promoting overall wellness. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site athletic training services for all practices and competitions for Mahopac High School and Middle School sports teams Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries Develop and implement injury prevention programs Coordinate care with physicians, coaches, parents, and school staff Maintain accurate injury and treatment records Ensure compliance with state regulations and safety standards Oversee emergency action plans and respond to athletic injuries Assist with return-to-play decisions and protocols Afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on athletic schedules Coverage for fall, winter, and spring sports seasons Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field Certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) Current NY State Athletic Trainer license (or eligibility) Civil Service approval/exam for Putnam County CPR/AED certification Strong communication and organizational skills Experience working in the secondary school setting preferred Application Deadline: 5/ 8 /2026 Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2026 NOTE: Putman county job description can be found here: https://www.putnamcountyny.gov/component/zoo/item/athletic-trainer?Itemid=495 Anyone interested in applying for the above-mentioned position should complete an application on OLAS and visit the Human Resources page of the Mahopac Central School District website.
