The Mahopac Central School District is seeking a Occupational Therapist District wide. The successful candidate will have following responsibilities and qualifications:Key responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist include:Providing direct occupational therapy services to students as per their IEP mandates.Develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals based on OT evaluations.Adhere to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy and state regulations.Collaborate with related service providers and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.Work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP servicesComplete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.) required to monitor student progress and necessary paperwork for Medicaid.Participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updatesPerform all initial evaluations and periodic re-evaluations and determines appropriate short- and long-term goals for students on caseloadPlan and implements appropriate occupational therapy programSchedule assigned caseload in conjunction with classroom staff and other related servicesEvaluate new referrals to determine need for service.Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Valid New York State Occupational Therapist licenseBachelor/Master’s Degree from an accredited programMust have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number to assist in Medicaid claims Salary: AS per MTA Bargaining Agreement Location: District WideApplication Deadline: 7/25/2025NOTE: Applicants must be on the Occupational Therapist Civil Service Eligible list or currently hold the title.
