ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION AVAILABLEAssistant Superintendent for Finance, Operations, and Information SystemsAnticipated start date: July 1, 2023The Lynbrook School District is seeking an exceptional school business official to fill the cabinet-level position of Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Operations, and Information Systems beginning no later than July 1, 2023.The successful candidate will possess the following qualities and experiences:Significant experience in all phases of school business office operations including budget development, audit preparation, long-range fiscal and capital planning, payroll, purchasing, insurance and employee benefits;In-depth knowledge and experience in the management of the overall financial operations of a school district;Demonstrate expertise in the areas of physical plant operations and planning, accountability for capital resources, administration of public investments, and operation of school lunch programs;Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills that support school programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility ;Develop a long-range facility plan, and implement procedures for selection of architects, engineers, construction managers, and other professionals;Knowledge of technology infrastructure and communications;Experience creating and overseeing safety and security protocols and procedures;A collaborative leadership style with excellent interpersonal skills;A skilled writer, speaker, and presenter, who communicates clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences, using appropriate tools and formats to achieve clarity and address questions;An accomplished professional with Central Office experience preferred;Required New York State certification SBA/SDA/SDL or SBDL.Qualified candidates must apply by January 27, 2023, via OLAS with proof of NYS certification, three letters of reference, and resume.
