POSITION AVAILABLEOccupational TherapistMarion Street Elementary School The Lynbrook Public School District is seeking a registered Occupational Therapist to fill a probationary position at the Marion Street Elementary School. Additionally, this position may be needed to support OT evaluations and services in other schools in the district as needed. Position anticipated to begin on April 17, 2024. The ideal candidate should have proven experiences administering and writing-up occupational therapy evaluations; designing and implementing creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions; collecting data to support IEP goals; providing input at CPSE/CSE meetings; and maintaining ongoing communication with supervisors, staff, and families. Additional experiences with the process of implementing and monitoring OT improvement, being a member of a multidisciplinary support team providing classroom based strategies across a variety of instructional settings, experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum, and providing Parent workshops on supporting fine and sensory motor needs through play are preferred. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: - Graduated from an accredited university with a degree in Occupational Therapy.- Holds a current New York State Occupational Therapy License.- Completed a minimum of (1) year experience working as an Occupational Therapist supporting school aged children and their families.- Received full fingerprint clearance through OSPRA.- Must be reachable on the Nassau County Civil Service List.
