Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher Liverpool Central School District is seeking certified elementary teachers for long-term substitute teaching positions at the K–6 grade level. Liverpool Central Schools is a dynamic, student-centered school district serving students across four K–2 elementary schools, four 3–5 elementary schools, and four 6–8 middle schools. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic educators who are interested in supporting our students and staff through long-term substitute assignments. Position Responsibilities Long-term substitute teachers will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment for students. Responsibilities include: Providing engaging, standards-aligned instruction based on established curriculum and lesson plans. Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Implementing effective classroom management strategies. Assessing student learning and providing appropriate feedback. Collaborating with building administrators, teachers, support staff, and families as appropriate. Maintaining accurate attendance, grading, and other classroom records. Supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Participating in school activities, meetings, and professional responsibilities associated with the assignment. Following district policies, procedures, and expectations for professional conduct. Assignment Information Grade Levels: Kindergarten through Grade 6 Certification: New York State certification in an appropriate teaching area is required. Assignment Length: Positions may range from approximately six weeks through the remainder of the school year, depending on the specific vacancy. Buildings: Assignments may be available across the District's K–2, 3–5, and 6–8 buildings. Position Type: Long-term substitute Qualifications Valid New York State teaching certification appropriate for the assignment. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to a school community.
