SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER â PROBATIONARY Liverpool Central School District Long Branch Elementary School Position: Probationary, Full-Time Anticipated Start Date: As Soon As Possible The Liverpool Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join the instructional team at Long Branch Elementary School, a Kâ2 elementary school serving students in the Liverpool Central School District. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and development. Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies that address the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs of students. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as appropriate. Participate in CSE meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs. Establish a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment appropriate for young learners. Maintain accurate and timely records and comply with all applicable federal, state, and district requirements. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators. Participate in professional learning and contribute positively to the Long Branch Elementary School community. Qualifications New York State certification in Students with Disabilities appropriate for the Kâ2 grade level. Experience working with elementary-age students with disabilities preferred. Knowledge of differentiated instruction, evidence-based special education practices, and IEP implementation. Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to inclusive practices and meeting the individual needs of every student. Salary and Benefits Salary is contractual and commensurate with the candidate's master's degree awarded, applicable graduate credits, and years of experience, in accordance with the Liverpool Central School District collective bargaining agreement.
