Elementary Teacher (Grades K–6) The Liverpool Central School District is seeking qualified, student-centered educators for Probationary and Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher positions for the 2026–2027 school year. This posting will be used to identify highly qualified candidates for current and future vacancies. Successful candidates will: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners. Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions. Establish effective classroom management practices that foster a safe and respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and needs. Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to enhance student achievement. Perform all other professional responsibilities expected of classroom teachers and assigned by the building principal. Minimum Qualifications: Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) or Early Childhood/Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 6), as appropriate. Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and classroom management. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at the elementary level. Knowledge of differentiated instruction, MTSS, and evidence-based literacy and mathematics practices. Experience integrating instructional technology into classroom learning.
