The Liverpool Central School District is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our transportation team as School Bus Attendants. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the safe and orderly transportation of students, including those with special needs, to and from school and school-related activities.Responsibilities:Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring secure seating and proper use of safety equipment such as seat belts and harnesses.Monitor student behavior during transport, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.Provide support to students with disabilities or special needs, including securing wheelchairs and mobility devices as required.Communicate effectively with the school bus driver and transportation staff regarding student concerns or incidents.Maintain order and follow district policies regarding student conduct and safety.Assist in emergency evacuation procedures and respond appropriately in case of emergencies.Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience working with children is preferred.Ability to work collaboratively with bus drivers, school staff, and parents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
