Must hold appropriate NYS certification. Description:The Associate Director for Student Services provides leadership and coordination of the Office of Student Services, including Central Registration, Alternative Learning Center, and homebound instruction tutors.The Associate Director is also responsible for supporting district administrators, school building administrators, and teachers in managing student enrollment and consultation with all other departments. Additionally, the Associate Director will assist with various district-level functions as determined by the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment.Responsibilities:District AdministrationAssist the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources with the essential functions of their respective offices, including Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.Administrative oversight of the Student Services Office, including Central Registration and overall student registration process.Coordinate Superintendent Hearings, Manifestations, and 504 meetings.Serve as the District Level District Dignity Act Coordinator.Provide the administrative oversight of the following:Private and Charter School CoordinationResidency Verification/InvestigationsHomebound/Alternative Learning CenterMcKinney Vento LiaisonNon-Resident Students / Initial Tuition contractsSchool Nurses (shared responsibility with building principal)Curriculum, Instruction and AssessmentServe as an APPR Independent Evaluator (as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools).Administrative Liaison for the K-8 School Counselors and offer support for the 9-12 School Counseling Program, including coordination of the Advisory Council.Assist in finding appropriate Professional Development opportunities as needed.Other Leadership FunctionsStudent record distribution and coordination.Foster Care contactMilitary Family LiaisonOversight of School-Based Mental health clinics and programsSubpoenasCustodyOversee the SEL coach
