Position Overview The School District Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Board of Education. This role involves preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, managing correspondence, and maintaining official records and documents. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Key Responsibilities Meeting Preparation and Support Assist in preparing meeting agendas and supporting documentation Attend Board of Education meetings, record minutes, and produce accurate meeting summaries Coordinate meeting logistics, including the use of BoardDocs Scoreboard Budget Vote Prepare for annual Budget Vote and School Board Elections, including ordering of voting machines, sending out absentee ballots, and other duties Coordinate vote logistics, including scheduling workers and room setup Work with Bold Systems in updating voter lists Be present on-site the day of the vote and record vote results at the end of the night.Records Management Maintain and update official Board records, including minutes and resolutionsCorrespondence and Communication Handle incoming correspondence for the Board of Education Communicate effectively with Board members, school district staff, and the publicRespond to inquiries and provide information as requested Administrative Support Perform general clerical duties, including purchase orders for the Board Assist with special projects and assignments as required by the Board or Superintendent Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferredPrior experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in an educational settingProficiency in BoardDocs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Flexibility to attend evening meetings as scheduledWork Schedule Part-time position, approximately 5 hours per week Must be available to attend scheduled Board of Education meetings, which occur outside regular business hours
