The Lindenhurst UFSD is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as the Coordinator of Secondary Special Education. The position is a tenure track probationary position which will begin July 1, 2026. All interested applicants must possess the appropriate NYS district level administrative certification. Only applications via OLAS will be accepted. The roles and responsibilities for the Coordinator of Secondary Special Education include but are not limited to: Supervision of Middle School and High School special education teachers and support staff Conduct observations utilizing the Danielson Framework Develop teaching assignments/schedules for secondary special education teachers Special education curriculum development Professional Development Assisting with the hiring of secondary special education staff both instructional and non-instructional Oversee the implementation, development and evaluation of new programs, resources, and instructional methodology Assist with managing department budget and supplies Accountable for NYS Regents Exam administration
