The Lindenhurst UFSD is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as the Coordinator of Social Studies. The position is a tenure track probationary position which will begin August 17, 2026. All interested applicants must possess the appropriate NYS district level administrative certification. Only applications via OLAS will be accepted. The roles and responsibilities for the Coordinator of Social Studies include but are not limited to: Supervision of Middle School and High School social studies teachers Conduct observations utilizing the Danielson Framework Develop teaching assignments/schedules for secondary social studies teachers Science curriculum development Professional Development Assisting with the hiring of secondary social studies staff Oversee the implementation, development and evaluation of new programs, resources, and instructional methodology Managing department budget and supplies Accountable for NYS Regents Exam administration
