MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPALGRADES 5/6 The successful candidate will provide the leadership necessary to promote a rigorous and comprehensive instructional program that ensures the academic, social, and emotional success of a diverse student body of students in an elementary school setting. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid NYS certification as School Administrator & Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) Demonstrates the ability to be an instructional leader in core subject areas Supports teachers during high-quality professional development in literacy and mathematics Minimum of five (5) years of relevant school teaching experience Thorough knowledge of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Standards & NYS Assessments Understanding of the APPR plan designed to raise student achievement for all segments of a diverse student body Passionate about teaching and learning for all students Experience with using student management systems Experience implementing socio-emotional skills education. Successful experience integrating technology initiatives to increase student achievement and engagement aimed at developing 21st-century skills in students Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration among stakeholders; including parents, teachers, staff, and community, in supporting student success Excellent human relations skills.
