The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide visionary and collaborative leadership, meaningful professional development, and highly effective supervision for all levels of instruction. REQUIREMENTS: NYS Certification: District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) or Administrator Supervisor (SAS)RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee and support instruction, curriculum development, and departmental initiatives in English, Social Studies, Business, and Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS), working collaboratively with teachers to promote problem-solving, decision-making, higher-order thinking, and effective communication.- Provide professional development and resources to staff from elementary through high school.- Assist in creating a K–12 continuum within each discipline and cultivate interdisciplinary connections, and supervise the Career Exploration Program.- Oversee Seal of Civic Readiness diploma credential.- Develop instructional priorities that are aligned with district-wide and Board of Education goals.- Use data and research to inform instruction and monitor programmatic shifts.- Create learning experiences and assessments that are relevant and connect student understanding to the real world.- Use technology to advance teaching and learning and enable students and staff to participate in the global community.- Partner with central administration, principals, directors, and coordinators to align initiatives and instructional priorities.- Have experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and Advanced Placement (AP) Program or, at minimum, a strong knowledge of the IB and AP frameworks and their requirementsQUALIFICATIONS:- Master’s degree in education or related field.- School administration/leadership experience preferred.- Possess a strong knowledge of and experience with the K–12 English Language Arts curriculum and Social Studies Framework.- Communicate exemplarily and forge strong relationships with all members of the school community.- Possess a strong knowledge of and experience with the K–12 English Language Arts curriculum and Social Studies Framework.- Have an understanding of the newest trends and resources in business, marketing, and FACS education.- Demonstrate experience in leadership positions that have enabled the candidate to influence others to work collaboratively and promote innovation and risk-taking.- Problem solver with the ability to analyze situations, make informed decisions, and resolve conflicts; strong capacity to improve school climate.START: October 16, 2025SALARY: According to the Administrators’ Association Contract
