REQUIREMENTS: NYS Certification in Mathematics (7-12)RESPONSIBILITIES:The Teacher is responsible for the well-being and safety of the students, taking attendance, maintaining a functioning classroom, utilizing classroom management skills, leaving a clean classroom, and teaching the provided curriculum.Develop lesson plans and assignments consistent with the regular teacher's past lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.Deliver lessons within an ICT model with a cooperating teacher.Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.Adapt mathematics curriculum for individual, small groups, and remedial instruction to meet the needs of identified students or subgroups of students.Instructing and guiding students on how to solve complex mathematical equations and concepts to enhance their analytical and logical reasoning skills.Developing flexible teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematics.Working with students individually if they need extra help and support in their math coursework.Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan.QUALIFICATIONS:In depth knowledge of Mathematics.Special Education background or certification is a plus.Experience in an ICT setting is a plus.Proven leadership, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.Ability to engage, motivate and challenge students.Understanding of modern teaching techniques and use of classroom technologies.Emotional stability and strong problem-solving skills.
