The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for a Assistant Cook to join our team.. Duties and Responsibilities:Assist cafeteria Cook in preparing,cooking and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for students. Assist with and support cleaning kitchen equipment and facilities to maintain kitchen hygiene.Record food inventory supplies.Ensures compliance with all State, Federal and local health and safety requirements for safe food handling. Qualifications:Proven experience working in a similar role.Proficient in operations, including food preparation techniques and cooking methods.Prior experience in school establishments is preferred.Training and Education:High school graduate or equivalent.Work Hours and Benefits:7 hours per day, Monday - Friday for 10 months per year. Benefits as per the LVCSD Food Service contract.
