The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for a Information Technology Specialist II - Probationary to join our team.Duties and Responsibilities:Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive information and data. Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure ongoing smooth operations. Ongoing testing and troubleshooting any network issues to ensure functionality and efficiency. Implement any solutions to minimize downtime. Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software systems. Implement and maintain IT systems and applications.Lead and manage IT projects, such as network upgrade and/or system implementations. Coordinate with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.Train and support District staff on how to effectively use technology across instructional and non-instructional roles. Provide technical support to District staff for any computer and/or phone related issues.Stay on top of the latest trends and advancements in educational technology and security.Organize, manage and maintain technology equipment.Work Location & Benefits:This position is with the Locust Valley Central School District with an anticipated start date of December 17, 2024. Eligible for full benefits as per the LVCSD Clerical contract.Qualifications:Relevant technology experience working in a school district.Experience, working knowledge of technology security and controls.
