The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for a District Cook Manager to join our team.. Duties and Responsibilities:Overseeing the kitchen operations for the LVCSD school buildings, ensuring high-quality food is served to our students.Supervise cooks and other team members.Assist in managing tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen hygiene.Oversee the preparation to maintain high standards of quality.Support in training and mentoring kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.Ensures compliance with all State, Federal, local health and safety requirements for safe food handling.Qualifications:Proven experience working in a similar roleStrong background in operations and food management.Proficient in operations, including food preparation techniques and cooking methods.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.Prior experience in establishments is preferred.Training and Education:High school graduate or equivalent.Work Hours and Benefits:7 hours per day, Monday - Friday for 10 months per year. Benefits as per the LVCSD Food Service contract.
