The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide visionary and collaborative leadership, meaningful professional development and highly effective supervision for all levels of instruction. Candidates should have or be able to:Communicate exemplarily and forge strong relationships with all members of the school communityPossess a strong knowledge of and experience with the K-12 Social Studies FrameworkHave an understanding of the newest trends and resources in business and marketing educationWork collaboratively with our FACS teachers to promote problem-solving, decision-making, higher order thinking, and communication.Provide professional development and resources to staff from elementary through high schoolAssist in creating a K-12 continuum within the discipline and to cultivate interdisciplinary connectionsDevelop instructional priorities that are aligned to district-wide goalsUse data and research to inform instruction and monitor programmatic shiftsDemonstrate experience in leadership positions that have enabled him/her to influence others to work collaboratively and to promote innovation and risk-takingCreate learning and assessment that is relevant and connects student understandings to the real-worldUse technology to advance teaching and learning and enable students and staff to participate in the global communityPartner with central administration, principals, directors and coordinators to align initiatives and instructional prioritiesHave experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and Advanced Placement (AP) Program or, at minimum, a strong knowledge of the IB and AP Frameworks and their requirements REQUIREMENTSLeadership Certification: SDL or SDA or SASTeacher Certification: Social Studies and/or BusinessSTART:July 1, 2023SALARY: According to contract between District and Administrators Unit
