Long Beach Public Schools, a diverse district with high expectations for students and staff, is seeking innovative and caring candidates who reflect the diversity that makes our community unique Position : Mathematics Curriculum Director, Pre K-12 Location : Districtwide Description: The Director will support instruction by: Curriculum & Instruction • Coordinate and monitor implementation of district math curriculum aligned to NYS Learning Standards. • Ensure vertical alignment from elementary through high school. • Facilitate articulation among grade levels and buildings. • Support intervention and remediation programs • Expand access to advanced mathematics pathways Assessment & Data Analysis • Analyze district, state, and local assessment data. • Identify trends, strengths, and areas of need. • Develop action plans to improve student achievement. • Coordinate benchmark assessments and data protocols. • Identify and address equity gaps • Conduct teacher observations and evaluations Professional Learning • Design and deliver professional development for teachers and administrators Facilitate curriculum writing and resource development. • Support teachers through coaching and professional learning Leadership & Collaboration • Partner with principals and district administrators . • Serve on district leadership teams. • Support hiring processes for mathematics staff. • Assist with observations and evaluation processes Love of learning and teaching, strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Knowledge or experience with the International Baccalaureate Program a plus.
