Lansingburgh Central School District is looking to hire a full-time, 12-month, Secretary 1 position for our Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) office. The position is located in our District Office and will report to the Director of PPS (Special Education). Service to commence as soon as practicable. Starting salary may be negotiable depending on experience and/or education level. Under the direct supervision of the Director of PPS, the Secretary 1 is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to administrators and the PPS office to ensure smooth daily operations. This position supports communication, record-keeping, and office coordination while helping maintain an organized department. This position is a Civil Service position that falls under the umbrella of the NY HELPS hiring program. Minimum Qualifications per Rensselaer County Civil Service: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in secretarial science or closely related field and two (2) years of clerical experience which shall have involved typing using a typewriter, word processor or personal computer; OR Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in any field and two (2) years of clerical experience which shall have involved typing using a typewriter, word processor or personal computer; OR Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and four (4) years of clerical experience which shall have involved typing using a typewriter, word processor or personal computer.
