The Lansingburgh Central School District is seeking an Aide (School Safety) to support a safe, positive, and orderly learning environment at Knickerbacker Middle School. This is a full-time, 10 month position with service to commence in September for the beginning of the new 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will assist in the supervision of student common areas, assist in maintaining appropriate student behavior, and work collaboratively with school administrators and staff to promote student safety and well-being. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Senior Security Monitors with the supervision of hallways, stairwells, restrooms, cafeterias, and other student common areas throughout the school day. Promote a safe, respectful, and orderly school environment. Develop positive relationships with students and serve as a visible adult presence throughout the building. Observe and report safety concerns, behavioral issues, vandalism, or property damage to appropriate administrators. Assist with student arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, and transitions between classes as needed. Support school-wide safety initiatives and building operations as assigned. Work cooperatively with administrators, teachers, counselors, security staff, and other school personnel. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required.
