The Lansingburgh Central School district is seeking a Director of Instructional Technology. This is a full-time, 11-month, tenure track position. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000. The Director of Instructional Technology is a member of the Lansingburgh Administrators Association (LAA) collective bargaining unit. Service may commence as soon as possible.The Director of Instructional Technology provides district-wide leadership for the effective integration of technology into teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment. Possession of a valid New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification at the time of appointment is required.Primary responsibilities include but shall not be limited to:Oversee the development, implementation, and alignment of instructional technology programs, including a K–5 course aligned with the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards, ensuring district-wide compliance with applicable state standards.Collaborate with building and district administrators to support instructional program development, select instructional software, and plan for implementation and professional learning that enhances technology as a learning tool.Coordinate and deliver technology-related professional development for staff, including embedded classroom support, to support effective instructional practices PK–12.Conduct PK–12 teacher observations and evaluations as an independent evaluator, providing instructional feedback.Maintain and evaluate instructional software, digital resources, and online subscriptions to ensure appropriate integration with the PreK–12 curriculum; analyze usage data to inform instructional decision-making.Serve as a liaison with instructional technology vendors to ensure effective implementation of new products and ensure both students and teachers have the appropriate access to these platforms.Work collaboratively with the Director of Information Technology to ensure district infrastructure supports instructional technology initiatives and aligns with a shared district-wide vision.Review and update procedures related to the research, purchasing, distribution, and budgeting of instructional software, digital textbooks, and online database subscriptions; develop and manage the annual instructional technology software budget.Lead the development, implementation, and compliance monitoring of the District Technology Plan, including adherence to all applicable state and federal requirements.Coordinate and administer NYS Computer-Based Testing programs, including the NYS Alternate Assessment.Supervise Technology Integration Specialists (TOSAs) to ensure best practices in instructional technology support for classroom teachers.Serve as the District Data Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with New York State Education Law 2-D and related data protection regulations.Manage district software systems that support professional development tracking and teacher evaluation processes.Oversee the Business, Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences departments by leading department meetings, reviewing curriculum, coordinating professional development research, and ensuring alignment with NYS Standards.Collaborate with the Director of Guidance and building leadership to identify programming needs and recommend courses within the Business, Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences departments.Analyze curriculum effectiveness within the Business, Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences departments to support continuous program improvement and standards alignment.The Lansingburgh Central School District offers a highly competitive pay scale as well as excellent benefits.
