This position qualifies for a $3,400 recruitment stipend in each of the first four years of employment with the Lansingburgh Central School District.Rensselaer Park Elementary School has an opening for a Grades 3-5 Reading Teacher. New York State certification is required. We offer a competitive starting salary and benefits in accordance with the LTA contract.Essential Functions of the position:Create resources, lesson plans and strategies that will provide support to all students best practices and instructional strategies and groupings at the Tier 2 and Tier 3 level which include guided reading and LLI Creates evaluation instruments and procedures to monitor the student progress and the effectiveness of instruction Collect, compile, and present data (formative and standardized) to the teachers and IST committee Collaborates with classroom teachers on a regular basis to discuss student data and instruction to meet their needs which includes Fountas and Pinnell(F&P) assessments, baseline assessments, benchmark assessments, iReady diagnostic and lessons Administers Fountas and Pinnell (F & P) assessments to studentsSupport teachers in RTI plan implementation Oversee reading teaching assistants to support, guide, and ensure that AIS reading responsibilities are being met. Consistent and open communication with the building principals, RTI coordinator, curriculum specialistsAttend and participate in grade level meetings as appropriate Attend professional development as directed Lansingburgh Central School District is rich in heritage, diversity and pride.
