VACANCY: Acting Elementary School Assistant Principal (2)LOCATION: To Be DetermineEFFECTIVE: August 30, 2022 to June 30, 2023 (Anticipated)TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Leave ReplacementREQUIRED: New York State certification: School Administrator/Supervisor or School Building LeaderQUALIFICATIONS: Successful Candidates will demonstrate:· A dynamic, high energy leadership style with a successful background in elementary education.· An understanding of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate for the improvement of instruction.· Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in elementary education including differentiation, Response to Intervention and Professional Learning Communities.· Strong knowledge of Code of Conduct and ability to manage student behavior including at-risk students.· Experience with student discipline.· Experience supervising academic and extracurricular activities.· Experience with scheduling and managing student information.· Habits of administration capable of encouraging professional cooperation and enthusiasm to meet current demands for excellence in public education.· Knowledge of the Lakeland Central School District and community preferred.PREFERRED: Knowledge of the Lakeland Central School District and community.SALARY: Per ALA agreement.
