VACANCY: High School Assistant PrincipaL LOCATION: Lakeland High School EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2022 TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Leave Replacement REQUIRED: New York State certification: School Administrator/Supervisor or School Building Leader QUALIFICATIONS: A dynamic, high energy leadership style with a successful background in secondary education;A thorough understanding of the New York State Learning Standards and demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate for the improvement of instruction;Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in secondary education including differentiation, Response to Intervention and Professional Learning Communities;Strong knowledge of Code of Conduct and ability to manage student behavior including at-risk students;Experience with student discipline;Experience supervising academic and extracurricular activities;Knowledge of NYS Regents examinations, administration and scoring procedures;Experience with high school master scheduling and managing student information;Habits of administration capable of encouraging professional cooperation and enthusiasm to meet current demands for excellence in public education.PREFERRED: Knowledge of the Lakeland Central School District and community. SALARY: Per ALA agreement.
