TITLE: Cleaner/NightsLOCATION(s): Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School HOURS: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PMSTART DATE: October 14, 2025SALARY: $36,538-$50,117 THIS IS A LABOR CLASS CIVIL SERVICE TITLEEMPLOYEES NEW TO THE DISTRICT WILL BE HIRED AT THE LOWER SALARY GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs routine cleaning duties; does related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Under direct supervision, incumbents of this class perform routine cleaning duties. The work of a Cleaner is distinguished from Custodial Worker in that a person in this position is not required to perform minor repairs or complex maintenance duties. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Illustrative only)Sweeps and mops floors, corridors, and stairs; Washes windows, blackboards, and lavatory fixtures; Dusts woodwork, furniture, and other articles; Empties trash receptacles; Replenishes lavatory supplies; Waxes floors and furniture; Vacuums floors, rugs, carpets; Replaces light bulbs; Shovels snow; Sets thermostats as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND ATTRIBUTES: Familiarity with building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment; ability to use building cleaning supplies and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; thoroughness; dependability; ability to read and write English; physical condition commensurate with duties of the position.
