Lakeland Central School District is seeking an Assistant Cook for our school district. This employee assists in the preparation, cooking and serving of a variety of foods in large quantities for use in a school lunch program. Some examples of work are assisting in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, following standardized recipes for accurate food preparation, receiving and inspecting food to be cooked; cleaning kitchen, serving, storage, dining areas, equipment and assists in serving food to students. Minimum acceptable training and experience: One (1) year of experience where the primary function of the position was in the preparation, cooking and serving of food on a large scale. Substitution: Satisfactory completion of 30 college credits towards an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field may be substituted for the one year of work experience described above. Hours: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm M-F. Salary: $17.92 - $26.89.
